1:1 online tutoring
If you’re looking for something completely tailored to your student’s specific learning outcomes and schedule, 1:1 tutoring may be best. Learn what you can expect in a session by watching the intro video below or contact me to book a free consultation.
While every student is different, I typically recommend 10-12 weeks of weekly tutoring sessions (75 minutes each) prior to the first test date.
online tutoring pods
Tutoring pods are small groups (max of 4 students) that learn together over the course of 8 weeks. Students are grouped together by previous PSAT, SAT, or diagnostic SAT scores, with particular importance placed on math scores.
Sessions run for 90 minutes over an 8-week period.
Students may select 1-2 private 1-hr tutoring sessions as an add-on to the pod sessions.
UPCOMING PODS
2026 August/September SAT (starting the week of June 28th)
There are two pod groups that will be grouped by math score. Overall score will be taken into consideration, too, and no student with a large disparity in math/verbal scores (150+ points) can be placed into a pod without committing to 2 private tutoring sessions to work on the weaker section.
online courses
Group courses are a cost-effective way to approach prep. I typically recommend group courses for high-aiming students who need just a little structure and accountability but who are otherwise self-motivated. Group courses can also be a good fit for students with more general tutoring goals (e.g. building familiarity with the test and content rather than attaining a specific score).
Prospective group course students must have at least an 1150+ on a recent SAT or PSAT. If it’s been more than 6 months since the PSAT or a recent SAT score is not available, students may take a diagnostic to place into the course.
Group course sizes vary, depending on the type of course offered. Please see the Courses page for upcoming offerings.
school courses
I offer onsite school courses in the Ellsworth and Mount Desert Island area, as well as online school courses. Since 2018, I have designed and taught SAT prep courses for the Portland School District, Maine Coast Waldorf School, and Mount Desert Island High School. Each SAT prep course is designed specific to the needs of the students and the budget of the school or families. Please inquire directly about hosting a course at your school.
